Candy Weil, Director has provided rescue services for abused and unwanted horses since 1995. She realized this
setting provided an excellent environment for children.
When her daughter was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsey, she interacted her daughter with a pony she had saved for her therapy.
Her daughter, Jacque, tells everyone the pony Chocolate Chip, taught her how to walk.
Candy's mother went into labor with her on the way to the barn to feed the horses, Candy was basically brought
up in a barn, and to this day is most comfortable in that environment.
Candy showed Hunters and Jumpers on the East Coast and came out West to start a Therapeutic Center for horses.
When the people that hired her had financial problems she stayed and she met her daughters father.
She saw a need for rescuing these magnificent animals and started doing so with money from her own pocket.
Candy's love for horses can be contagious as most people have found out that spend any time with her. The animals
also feel her warmth and talk to her on a regular basis, you can always tell when Candy is coming to the barn because all
of the horses will tell you with their perked ears and bright eyes.
When Candy came into an inheritance she bought acreage to continue saving the horses when she could have used it to take
a much needed vacation, but her heart is in her rescue!
